Tracey Wallace

I am a 5th generation Texan and a 3rd generation family business owner. My grandfather started Fred Clark Felt Company in 1953, manufactoring cotton, fill and pillows for businesses across the south.

I am one of 5 grandchildren, 3 of whom continue to run the business today with my mother and aunts.

My business writing and education stems from my lifelong education in business and selling practices. I often spent my humid East Texas summers in the back of the plant, pulling cotton through machines.

As a personal mantra, I write content my own family would be able to read, learn from and put actionable steps in place to increase sales.

I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in English Literature and a minor in French. I was well-known at the time for my opinion pieces in the university's newspaper – one of the most-read college newspapers in the country. My mom was both proud of my ambition and a bit confused as to how I found my opinions.

I currently live with my beautiful girlfriend in equally beautiful Austin, Texas. My former places of residence are still close to my heart: Park Slope, Brooklyn, 10th Arrondissement, Paris, Cumbayá, Quito.

You can read my article on LinkedIn about my journey from East Texas, around the world, and back to the business of selling. Come to find out, it runs in my genes.
